Arpi Derm

Arpi Derm is an engineering leader at ICEYE US, where she contributes to the development of advanced Earth-observation systems using synthetic aperture radar (SAR). With more than a decade of experience in software and systems engineering, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective spanning flight software, electronics, avionics, hardware, artificial intelligence, and complex system development. She holds a degree in Astronomical and Planetary Sciences.

Outside her professional work, Arpi studies complexity science and its influence on world systems and the fabric of society. A strong advocate for long-term thinking, she is driven by a mission to help extend the lifespan of human civilization and believes that sustained, interdisciplinary effort can help humanity confront some of the most consequential questions posed by our world and the cosmos.
