What are local chapters?
The purpose of local chapters is to fulfill CSS’s purpose at local levels; specifically, to promote complex systems research (pure and applied), to assist and advise on problems of complex systems education, to concern itself with the broader relations of complex systems to society, to establish a sense of identity amongst complexity scientists, and to represent the complexity community at local levels. Moreover, the additional purposes unique to local chapters are to identify specific needs of members of local communities and offer localized solutions/services for them, as well as to provide information about -- and gateways towards -- the CSS’s global- level activities.
