María Larraga Ramirez

María Elena Lárraga received her PhD degree in Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 2004. She is currently a full time researcher at the Institute of Engineering of UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico), in the Department of Electrical and Computer Science. In addition, she works as a professor in the Graduate Program in Computer Science and Engineering at UNAM. Her research focuses on mathematical and computational modeling of complex discrete systems, cellular automata, vehicular traffic dynamics, spatio-temporal propagation of epidemics and malware.
