I am a theoretical and mathematical physicist who works in the fields of complex systems, data-driven modelling, machine and deep learning, data mining, network physiology. mathematical biology, group theoretical methods and mathematical modelling with applications to health, finances, security, energy and materials. I have worked in Departments of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Professor of Data Analytics and Machine Learning in Deakin University. Since 20 November 2023, I am Professor and Lead of Artificial Intelligence in Health in the Aston Digital Futures Institute at Aston University, Birmingham, UK. My areas of research are complex systems originating from biology, physiology, condensed matter, finances and banking. I have particular interests in dynamical systems, time series, network theory, delay differential equations, dynamical and static symmetries in quantum mechanics, solid states and molecules, systems dynamics in physiology, psychology, health and medicine, with particular interests in modelling seep and insomnia, glucose-insulin regulation and diabetes, dementia, depression and quality of life.
