Prof Alberto Antonioni
Carlos III University of Madrid
I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics of the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M). I got a PhD in Information Systems from the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Lausanne and a PhD in Mathematical Engineering from UC3M. My undergraduate background is in mathematics and computer science, owning a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Turin. My research work includes the topics of complex systems, evolutionary game theory, structure of and dynamics on complex networks, and experimental economics.
I was one of the main organisers of the following workshops specifically designed for the young researcher community:
Winter Workshop on Complex Systems 2016 (Madrid)
CCS 2017 Warmup (Cancún) & CCS 2018 Warmup (Thessaloniki)
Complexity72h 2018 (Lucca), 2019 (Lucca), 2020 (Rome, cancelled) and 2023 (Palma)
I also organised the following international events for the Complex Systems Society community:
Evolutionary Game Theory (Satellite at CCS 2016, Amsterdam)
Networks and Games (Satellite at LANET 2017, Puebla)
Games on Networks (Satellite at NetSci 2018, Paris)
AMETHYST (Satellite at CCS 2021, Lyon)
AMETHYST 2 (Satellite at CCS 2022, Palma)
CCS 2022 (Program Committee co-chair, Palma)
I was member and Chair of the young researchers of the Complex Systems Society (2017-2019) and member of the Executive Committee of CSS (2018-2020). I am member of CCS Steering Committee (2020-2023) and secretary of the Spanish association for socio-technical complex systems (COMSOTEC), contributing to the creation of the Spanish Chapter of the CSS. I am involved in the program committees of CSS, Complenet, NetSci, IC2S2, among other national/international events related to complex systems.
