Complex R.O.M.E. Workshop
We are excited to announce the 2026 edition of the Complex R.O.M.E. Workshop.
Following the success of our previous edition, Complex R.O.M.E. 2026 will once again focus on historical processes as complex systems, bringing together contributions from network science, computational methods, and quantitative modeling.
We are honored to confirm Débora Zurro (HUMANE, IMF-CSIC) as one of our keynote speakers, with more to be announced soon.
We invite researchers from all career stages to submit abstracts exploring the application of complex systems approaches to historical phenomena. We welcome completed studies, preliminary ongoing research, new datasets, or position papers.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) mathematical and computational models of history and societies, network analysis applied to historical phenomena & Cliodynamics, computational social science applied to history, and the use of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to interpret historical data, among others.
