CompleNet 2026 - Call for contributions
May 4-8, 2026
Zaragoza, Spain
You are cordially invited to submit your contribution to CompleNet 2026, the 17th Annual Conference on Complex Networks (https://complenet.weeblysite.com/) to take place in Zaragoza, Spain on May 4-8, 2026.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
CompleNet is an international conference on complex networks that unites researchers and practitioners from various disciplines, including sociology, biology, physics, and computer science, who share a common desire to gain a deeper comprehension of interdependencies within and across systems. CompleNet provides a platform to exchange ideas and present discoveries related to diverse network types, encompassing biological, technological, informational, and social networks. CompleNet's primary objective is to delve into and commemorate the interdisciplinary essence of complex networks.
We encourage you to submit an original paper or an extended abstract to the 17th CompleNet conference. All accepted contributions will be invited to be presented at the conference. Presentations will take place in a single track plenary session, offering heightened exposure and integration across topics and expertise.

TYPES OF CONTRIBUTION
CompleNet 2026 accepts submissions of original contributions in the form of research papers (not previously published) and extended abstracts (about published or unpublished research). Submitted works can be considered for the best student submission prize if the authors explicitly indicate such detail in the submission form (check the guidelines for the details).
Each submission (papers or abstracts) will undergo a single-blind review process by at least two referees on the Program Committee. Papers, if accepted, are included in the Proceedings of the conference edited by Springer Nature. Abstracts are not included in the proceedings or published anywhere.
SUBMISSION FORMATS
Papers
Submitted papers should follow the Springer format and not exceed 12 pages if submitted as long papers, or 8 pages if submitted as short papers. Page limits include all references, figures, tables, captions, and other display items.
Extended abstracts
Extended abstracts should be a minimum of one page and maximum of two pages in length (standard US Letter or DIN-A4, 1-inch margins, 10-point font, single-spaced), and should be submitted in PDF format. Each abstract should include exactly one figure, with a caption. Please note that this figure, as well as any references, are included within the two-page limit.
Submissions that do not satisfy the above requirements will not be considered.
Best contributions prizes
CompleNet offers prizes for the best poster, best paper, best student presentation, the best presentation, and many others. We believe that authors who go above and beyond should receive a token of recognition for their efforts. The best presenter (non-student) will be invited as a keynote speaker for the following year’s event.
