We are glad to announce the call for the 10th edition of the Mediterranean School of Complex Networks: MSCX X 2025

Since 2014, the school has trained nearly 400 young researchers in network science, with a highly interdisciplinary flavor.

Please, feel free to redistribute among potential attendants and accept our apologies in advance if you receive this email more than once.

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
---------------------------------------

X Mediterranean School of Complex Networks
30 June - 5 July 2025, Ortigia Island (Syracuse), Italy

In the last decade, network theory has been revealed to be a perfect instrument to model the structure of complex systems and the dynamical process they are involved in. The wide variety of applications to social sciences, technological networks, biology, transportation and economics, to cite just some of them, showed that network theory is suitable to provide new insights into many problems.

After a decade of successful editions of the Mediterranean School of Complex Networks, started in 2014, we call for applications to the 10th Edition in 2025.

The goal of this school is twofold:

     - Provide a theoretical background to students (Master, PhD) and young researchers in the field, with particular attention to current trends in Network Science;
     - Promote philosophical and scientific exchange between all participants, i.e., lecturers and attendants.

For this reason, the program always involves lectures and focused seminars from experts in different fields (social sciences, biology, physics, computer science, etc) for 70% of the duration of the school. The remaining time will be dedicated to student activities (including talks, debates, scientific group activities).

In this edition, we will host lectures and focused seminars about the most recent advances on:

* Structure and dynamics of complex networks
* Human behavior in complex environments
* Computational social science
* Networks in biomedical sciences
* Network epidemiology
* Network in the cities
* Network inference

Invited Lecturers and Speakers
     Vittoria Colizza  (Sorbonne Université / INSERM)
     Marta Gonzalez (UC Berkeley)
     Joe Loscalzo (Harvard University / Brigham and Women's Hospital)
