Postdoctoral position at BDLT Group, University of Zurich

The Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies Group at the University of Zurich is looking for a Postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in computer science or related field, to manage and supervise the creation of a data facility for Blockchain analytics in the context of the UZH Blockchain Center.


The main roles of the postdoc will be (i) leading data collection from a number of blockchain-based platforms, (ii) designing instruments for the large-scale analysis of these distributed systems, and (iii) participate of the analysis of the data. There will be particular emphasis on efficient data storage and management with the objective of performing comparative analysis of socio-economic metrics in blockchain-based systems. Special emphasis will be made on network science-oriented methodologies.


The candidate should therefore be able to contribute to the research cycle in a highly innovative field. She/he will also work in collaboration with blockchain developers from multiple platforms, which will give her/him access to unique knowledge and data of techno-economic activity on their platforms. She/he will do so in a highly interdisciplinary and international team.
