The Institute of Economics at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (Pisa, Italy) carries out research and training activities in the field of empirical and theoretical economics. Its main lines of research include: - Economics of innovation and technical change - Decision making and change in organizations - Industrial dynamics - Complex systems and economic networks - Evolutionary foundations of macro-economics - Evolutionary finance - Technological change and economic history - Industrial and technological policies in industrialized and developing countries - Welfare and environmental economics The Institute of Economics welcomes and favors dialogue between empirical investigations, theoretical developments and normative contributions - concerning both corporate management and public policies - offering an interdisciplinary environment in which different research interests and competencies, ranging from Economics, to Mathematics and Physics meet and can be fruitfully integrated. Due to the participation to various national and international research projects, its researchers are well nested in an international network.
