Since 2004, the Conference on Complex Systems organized by the CSS, is the most important annual meeting for the complex systems research community.
Until 2014, it was the European Conference on Complex Systems. In 2015, it became CCS with its first "global" edition in the USA. CCS16 has taken place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from Sept. 19 to 22, 2016. The conference chair was Peter Sloot. In 2017, CCS17 will be organized in Cancun, Mexico, by Carlos Gershenson and Jose Mateos.
The Complex Systems Society invites bids to host CCS2018 in Europe. Interested potential organizers should send a short document (4-5 pages max.) detailing the proposal to Stefano Zapperi, chair of the CCS steering committee (stefano dot zapperi at unimi dot it) or to the officers of the CSS.
The document should follow the attached template and contain some basic information about the venue (location, max number of participant in plenary sessions, number and size of rooms for parallel sessions, some idea on the hotel arrangements), a preliminary list for the local organizing committee, some information about the budget, etc.
Deadline for submission of applications: Nov. 15th, 2016
The CCS steering committee, elected among the members of the Complex Systems Society, is responsible for the development and support of the CCS conference series and will decide among the bids.
